Logistics & Field Support Technician
Full-Time Position
Position Summary
MDG Renovations is seeking a dependable and hardworking Driver / Logistics & Field Support Technician to support daily field operations. This role is responsible for material transportation, jobsite logistics, site cleanup, and assisting carpenters and installers as needed. The position reports directly to the Field Manager for daily direction and coordination.
This role typically provides approximately 40 hours per week. Additional hours are required as operational needs arise. Certain phases of construction and project scheduling cannot be stopped at a specific hour and may require extended workdays.
Primary Responsibilities
Drive company vehicles to transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from jobsites
Expedite materials and supplies between vendors, warehouse locations, and project sites
Assist carpenters and installers with labor tasks as needed
Perform job site cleanup and removal of debris to dumpsters as necessary
Maintain organized and clean work areas throughout project duration
Maintain cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the company vehicle
Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance
Assist with jobsite setup, organization, and protection of finished areas
Perform heavy lifting as required
Arrive on time and prepared for work each day
Maintain and bring basic hand tools daily
Work Schedule Expectations
Full-time position (approximately 40 hours per week)
Additional hours required as operational needs arise
Early starts or late finishes when necessary
Saturday work when required
Overnight work during project shutdowns
Holiday work when required for project schedules
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of driving experience
Clean driving record required
Chauffeur's license preferred; if not currently licensed, applicant must obtain a chauffeur's license within 30 days of employment
Ability to perform physically demanding work and heavy lifting
Strong reliability, punctuality, and work ethic
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing 50 - 100+ pounds
Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment
Manual dexterity to use hand tools and assist skilled trades
Ability to maintain alertness and focus during extended work hours when required
